See Your Soccer Facilities Through an ‘Accessible Lens’

The Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification™ (RHFAC) is a comprehensive rating system aimed at measuring and improving the accessibility of commercial, institutional, and multi-residential buildings. The certification evaluates various aspects of a building’s design and operations to determine how accessible and inclusive they are for people with disabilities.

Key features of the RHFAC include:

  • Objective Assessments: Trained professionals conduct on-site evaluations based on established criteria that consider mobility, hearing, vision, and cognitive aspects.
  • Rating System: Buildings are rated on a scale from “Certified” to “Certified Gold,” depending on their level of accessibility.
  • Improvement Recommendations: The assessment provides detailed feedback and actionable recommendations for enhancing accessibility.
  • Recognition and Advocacy: Buildings that achieve certification are recognized for their commitment to accessibility, which can enhance their reputation and appeal to a broader audience.

Overall, the RHFAC aims to create more inclusive environments by encouraging building owners and operators to prioritize and invest in accessibility improvements.
